Its kinda difficult to work during the waiting period previously due to uncertainty of time frame. Managed to do some temp position for first two months after graduation and haven been doing much since.
But looking back, its better to apply while you are in your last semester if you are sure of applying for SPO.
Lets keep our hopes high! Don't be dejected! Have faith! Up to next wednesday still within the one week before time frame.

@neerod91: Yea only ard 7-8 working days left for Feb intake, today also coming to an end already..
@TooFree: Did you manage to finish the questions? If you are able to wait, I think you should really apply again. Don't give up.
@arcelyn: I feel you.. It has been 10 months since I first applied and I have not even go for medical (if I passed interview) yet. Arghhh.
Btw, are you guys working/ studying now?
@kaching hmm... when I went for my dialogue and board, the hr guys told us there's Feb and April intake. they might have changed. I'm not sure.. but from what I was told, the nxt one is April.
Hi!
I was just wondering if most applicants here were from SAF or SPF? Were you guys Officers back in your National Service stint?
Also, are most if you local graduates? Do they place any extra emphasis on local graduates as compared to overseas graduates?
I'm currently waiting for my NS to end in the Army and will probably be studying overseas after that. If they do place more emphasis on local graduates, I will probably study in SMU instead.
Please advice! And good luck to all of your applications!
:)
Hi All !
I went for the board interview on the 6th of january and have not received any news yet. Anyone in the same boat as me or anyone went for an earlier board and get the medical call up alr ? .. =)
I went for the board interview on the 10th of Jan. still no calls for medical either :/
Ahh I see.. I chose a contract-based job so I won't have to be too committed to the job, and also to gain working experience while waiting for results. I can probably wait as long as it takes but of cos I hope won't have to wait long..
I guess waiting is also part of the test, so yup, don't give up just yet!
@VagueHart I'm local graduate. Not sure about the NS (I'm female) and overseas deg though..
@Kentaro89 - me me! I went later on 17 Jan..
heyyy. i finally got the call. the orientation will start next wed and the offical date to start training is 24 feb. =D Those who are still waiting, fingers crossed! There is still a chance. I have not got down to sign yet, but the person says before orientation. It's a damn damn long wait. From last July to now. Those still waiting, keep pressin on!!!

I do hope so too but I believe I have at least 1-2 weeks to wait, judging from others' time lines.. :S I can only hope to enter the Jun intake now (or maybe Apr, if any) since I also need one month notice period haha. Did they say what you need to bring for orientation? Wee it's hard to believe isn't it? After a superrrr long wait and all of a sudden you are going to enter a "new life" and meet new friends! So envious! :D
How long does it take for you to be shortlisted from when you first applied? My status just changed to "In Process" last 2 days. So exciting to get to know fellow SPOs-to-be!

Nope nothing has been said for me. perhaps i will know more when i sign. =P YESSSS. it was really unbelievable, in the way i actually waited for so long. HAHA. and it's worth it. Now i will fretting over the training. I am not exactly a fit person. haha.

Hi all, I m new here. Just went for psychology interview on 13 feb. Now waiting for board interview. I read in the 2013 intake thread. To prepare , best if we know about current affairs related to spf. Any idea how to prepare on this? Should we flip the newspaper?

hello! best to read up on recent crimes, maybe in the last 2 months? take note of the actions spf took and your stand abt the situation. what could be improved but bear in mind nt to shoot spf down entirely either.. and maybe think of how crimes like that can be prevented etc. hope it helps!
@key22 : thanks for the advice! Just want to be better prepared:)
