Thanks Kaching! It was a long wait indeed. Yup, I needed 1 month notice. I tendered my resignation at my current job shortly after receiving the call, and now I'm waiting for the HR to confirm when my official last day will be so that I can inform SPF, so that they can get VITAL to contact me regarding the bond signing. Hang in there Kaching, hope you'll get the call soon!

Ahh thanks thanks, I need one month notice too.. Hopefully I can squeeze into the coming intake with you! I'm holding onto my phone everywhere I go haha.

anyone experienced a long wait for the medical checkup? It's been about 2 months since my panel interview and still no call for the medical. Should I be worried?

Hi altezza200, I think you should be quite safe, and no news mean good news..
My call for medical came 1 month 3 weeks after panel, so who knows? You might get your call soon too. Let's keep our fingers crossed. :)

Hi Kaching, thanks for the encouragement! Just received call to go for medical woohoo! I'll most likely be able to pass the medical since I just passed SCDF medical not too long ago. After that I'll be like you and key22, just waiting for the call haha

Waaahhh congrats! When is your medical? Awesome, we might see one another in camp. But you gotta prepare at least two to three months of waiting after medical.. And more if you need a notice period (like me). Pffffff. Anyway key22 is in training already. She's just joining in the "fun"..
Where are the other applicants? It has been quite quiet here.. -
Dont worry @Kaching, u are not alone. I remembered i took my medical on the same week as u, and im still waiting. *remove cobwebs from my head* I figured could be our one month notice period that is pushing us to one intake after another.

Hi Kaching, my medical is this week! Do they really take 2-3 months to get back to you after medical? Seems like I need a part-time job. Really wished that I could go on attachment with SPF, my NS OC would be more than willing to take me in haha

Yea, which is why I'm planning to tender resignation for my current job soon so I don't miss out the intake anymore. *Remove cobwebs and spider familiies from head* Hi altezza200, yess my medical was on 24 Feb, and I'm still waiting (more than 3 mths alr). and so far from what I know, I haven't heard of anyone who receive news within 2 months so.. yeah you might want to get a part time job with short notice period to tide you over first haha.

@fbnbisk, they called me up last Friday to confirm. I'm still waiting for VITAL to contact me too. I suppose the call will come sometime this week. Base on past trend, I guess the contract signing is next week so that our CM will be able to contact us on the orientation. Read from the previous posts, they told you about the Orientation already? There is an attachment too? Cos I do not have any of these info as I was told of the confirmation and course start date. As for contract, have to wait for VITAL.

@DoubleJ8, I called the person just now and he told me to just wait for VITAL to contact me. It's been abt 2 weeks already since I got the confirmation call, so I'm a little worried.

Just curious, @fbndisk and @doublej8, when were your medical and what was the duration of your notice period.

@doublej8 usually attachment would have started by now. so chances are just orientation and start course. all the details will be given to you during bond signing.

@chiefmn My medical was in March. I've received the medical checkup email 2 weeks after my board interview. You mean notice period for my current employment? I guess it varies people to people. I told them that I required 1 month notice.
@key22 how long does it take from the confirmation call to Vital calling you up? When is your course starting?

@doublej8 it depends on how fast vital prepares your contract. usually abt 2 weeks? but they can be as last min as a few days before orientation. but whatever it is, contract will be signed before orientation. hope it helps! :)
