  Today i received a sms of 2nd interview(Junior Police Officer) for next week at Police HQ.Do anyone go for the 2nd interview before? mind sharing?

  did my interview 2 months ago. just did my medical last mth. im still waitimg for them to get back on my application.

  I submitted my application on 31st Oct 13 and they got back to me on 5th Nov 13 to attend the Selection Assessment on 11 Nov 13. My panel interview was on 14th Nov 13 and I did my medical check up on 6th Dec 13. I am now awaiting for the result.

  just received a sms today to ask me go for the selection assessment on 3 Jan 2014. hopefully everything will go smoothly for me.

  anyone here got any advice on how the selection will be roughly done and like what are the criteria they looking out for? mind sharing? :D

  Hey Alvin1988

  For the selection assessment, you will be asked to do a psychometric test, a physical assessment and verification of documents. Physical assessment include checking of body tattoos(if any), short march, height & weight etc....

  As for the panel interview, you will be interviewed by 3 senior officers. The questions they will be asking are more or less the same, such as "why do you want to join the police force", "how can you contribute to the force?", "are there any plans to upgrade yourself?". Just appear confident and relax and everything will be fine.

  After the panel interview, they will inform you to go for your medical check up in about 2-3 weeks. If you got the medical appointment, it means you have passed both the selection assessment and panel interview. I hope this will help, cheers!

  just to ask, they asked me to bring a copy of my PES status as well as photocopy it too. may I know where do I get the PES status report? as far as I am concern, I can get my PES status on ns.sg under NSmen section. Is there anywhere else that I am supposed to get it from or from ns.sg is fine?

  haha not sure if its ok. went to submit the documents and had the panel interview. the 3 ladies only asked me a few questions like, what are my hobbies, what is the stressful situation during my course of study, am i planning to further my studies if i join the force and etc. never really ask anything special. not sure if this is normal or what. any suggestions?

  normally after this panel interview, what is the next step? usually how long will it take for them to notify me for my next session if im shortlisted by them again?

  yeah the questions asked were normal so don't worry. As for the next event, you will be contacted directly by some medical staff in 2-3 weeks time if you passed both the selection assessment and the interview for the medical check up.

  yeah, i waited for 3 weeks before they set me up with a medical check up and i have been waiting for a month since my check up. hopefully they will get back to me by this week. haha
