Unfortunately I don't think u can appeal.. U can try applying again in a few mths time.. Don't give up just yet!
It's 6 months from the date of application or after the failed application? Any idea.

It's 6 months after rejection. I was rejected in July 2012. Along the way, I tried applying for the position for a few times. It's only in Jan 2013 then my application went through.
Salute u for ur patience & gt peserverence. Application really do take yrs..
Hi guys,
Im going for selection assessment tml morning. I understand that for psychometric assessment consist of many questions to be completed in a certain time. Hence would like to ask if it is compulsory to complete all the questions? Or, for those who have already attempted, are you able to finish in time?
Hope to get respond soonest! haha. Thank you!

It is possible to complete all the questions within the time frame.. Just don't think too long for each question. I managed to complete all the questions with time to spare.
thank you for the reply! went for today SA. Couldnt finish 2nd timed test. completed 42 out of 60 questions. Hopefully is suffice! now the wait begins again. hope they will call me up for AD dialouge!
Hello guys, glad that this thread exist to provide information and mental support. I applied roughly a week ago and the wait is really starting to get to me. I guess I'll probably have to wait for at least another week or so before hearing from them. Probably time to go find a pt job first

One way to remove tt mental torture while waiting is to not think abt it at all. And yea I think u should get a PT job since it'll take months before the whole recruitment process is completed.
My main worry is that they'll reject me without so much a call-up, because I'm putting a lot of other career back-up plans on hold for this . Then again, thats probably just being paranoid, I'm PES A, have a degree, bmi ok, and passed my ippt for every window since ORD
How long does it usually take after the Selection Assessment that we know of the outcome? i.e. rejection or to the next stage.
Thanks in advance!
Anybody Gg for may 31 board interview....

i doubt they'll reject you outright.. though things are hard to say. think on the positive side, i'm sure they'll call u up soon.

usually it takes anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks. can be sooner, but can also be later.
Went for SA on 22 May. Still awaiting for call up for AD dialouge if i make it though SA. I was told by recruitment department that it usually takes 1 to 2 weeks after SA for the call to come. Fingers cross!
All the best to aspiring PSO! Am heading for Wednesday session, shall build on the brain and muscles meanwhile.
Is this really a dead end job? Why so many said dont sign on and police got no life one?
I don't want to jeopardize my family ties, kids ties and wife relationship just because I like this career as a dream...

No it's not a dead end job, however it's a fact that policing work involves long hours and focus.
if u r unable to garner support from ur family to pursue ur dream, then in my own opinion u shouldn't pursue it given the higher likelihood that u will strain ties.
Hi people ,
I've been called to attend SA . Just want to enquire how many rounds of interview are there ? I'm nervous for the psychometric assessment .
Ask yourself if u really want it first..
select assessment is the hardest I would say out of all interview...
follow by board interview
