  Starting a new thread for the new year ... wishing all aspiring SO(inculding me) successful in their application =). Lets share our questions, answers and experience here.

  Is this your first time applying? I'm still 20 this year waiting to ORD and start uni next year! Long way to go before I can apply to be SPO-.- If only my results were better then can at least apply for local merit scholarship!

  i wonder if camera phones are allowed during the training phase.. read somewhere on this forum that they're actually allowed.. wonder if any current trainees can shed some light on this?

  hi weymas, are you scheduled for intake already ? may i know which date ?

  was supposed to go for the dec 31st intake, but due to some commitments i couldnt make it so i'm waiting for the next one. still waiting for their call.

  wow okay that's very recent, i heard that there was an earlier intake prior to that sometime in 11 dec too right ? ..
  i'm still waiting for the AD dialogue/interview .. i hope can join the next soonest intake if i get selected

  still waiting for the dialogue? means there's still some way for u to go.. haha enjoy the wait! it can be really excruciating..

  i have a few applications thats under kept for reference to other statutory boards in career@gov but there's no after action from their end. I guess it literally means kept for reference.
  
  Is there anyone that went for 19 Dec SA (1st round) and got shortlisted , maybe we can update each other on the next interview date/ contacted date by spf ?

  qaihonda, I was at the dec 19th selection assessment too and I was informed over the phone that I would be invited to the next dialogue session but they don't have an exact date yet. Is it the same thing for you?

  weymas, mind sharing your timeline for each step? also, what can we expect from the dialogue session?

  i did not receive any call , i just checked career@gov .. hmm was i suppose to receive a call ? but why would they call you but not arrange the dialogue date .. when did you receive the call ?
  
  i did however email them and asked for status application, but they just replied thats its still in processing.

  3 oct - selection assessment

  19 nov (i actually withdrew after being shortlisted, but asked to reinstate) - AD dialogue

  26 nov - psychologist interview

  29 nov - board interview

  17 nov - medical (received later the week before 17 nov)

  Dialogue with AD is to find out more about you, why u wanna join police etc. it's a pass/fail stage so answer truthfully as best as you can.

  how long did the dialogue last? i am glad to see that everything happened within a month after the dialogue. you actually got the medical even before passing the final panel interview?

  so when is your next intake? did they inform you yet?

  Hello PeerS,

  I would like to know what is the estimated ( Longest / Shortest ) waiting time ( Duration: Applying For the Position ---> The first Call for the interview ) for everyone who applied?

  I applied in the late October 2012, but till now my application status is still 'in the process'.

  the dialogue lasted abt 15 mins. nope they havent informed me yet.. hope its soon though.

  Dialogue with the Supt for only 15mins? That's pretty short.

  What about the Psychologists and Panel Interview respectively?

  Sindo, you might have to reapply again in 6 months as it seems pretty common for people to keep having to reapply a couple times even before getting called up for first stage.

  Yep only abt 15 mins for me. The psychologist will take much longer, due to the details tt u have to provide. But it's a no fail stage, and it was pretty relaxing actually. Panel interview took abt 25 mins, with 3 senior commanders and the AD and a psychologist.

  i'm getting quite anxious and nervous (19th S.A Batch) ... wud appreciate if any one from the mention batch to update if u have received the AD date ... no call for me since, am hoping the call to come very soon  ..

  Don't worry, qaihonda. I will let you know once I receive a specific date. I think the AD's schedule is just really packed and that's why recruitment hasn't been able to confirm a date.

  I am sure you will get the call/SMS soon because your status has not been "unsuccessful" and it's almost a month already.
