Joining the SPF..

  Hey there..

  Im 17 and waiting to go into poly to get my dip..

  after which I will be posted to NS...

  Can I just be posted to Home Team Academy as I have already decide to sign on with SPF after my dip cert..

  Is this possible or must I complete my 2 years in SAF first?

  Need some help here.. Thanks..

  Now sign on.

  SPF will pay for your poly fees.

  Give u allowance.

  after your 3 years, You will serve Police for minimum 5 years.

  Where do I do the procedure?

  And I am not even sure whether my result would allow me to go poly anot..

  Jialat lo..

  Any course also nevermind one right?

  And what if I wanna continue getting a degree?

  They will sponser also?

  Or do I get leave and study on my own?

  You waiting for O level result issit?

  Once you are accepted in ANY diploma course from the 5 local poly, you are eligible to apply for the scheme.

  If you are accepted into the police force, you will serve 5 years of bond.

  Depends, if you want to study uni, it depends on your performance.

  You have to sign on before you receive your enlistment notice.

  Changing of service (SPF/SAF/SCDF) is not allowed upon receiving enlistment letter, signing on with a different service will be rejected. 

  The only cross-service transfer possible is for a very rare few who are transferred after BMT to become NSPI (NS Police Inspectors).

  So in short - you must sign on before enlistment letter reach you, otherwise too late.

  Yes, you need to confirm admission into Poly/ITE before you can apply.

  during BMT also can sign on police la.

  after POP, transfer to Police lor. not just NSPI.

  Yea,but if you cross from BMT to SPF and become NSPI,then you sign on after you ORD,like bo hua sia,rank kena downgraded,happy happy ORD as INSP or ASP but sign on le downgrade to Sergeant or Corporal.Who is waiting for their medical check up?

  If you want to get posted ot HTA as FI (Field Instructor),you have to be in patrolling for at least 2 years before you can get posted to HTA.That is what I heard from my ITE lecturer who is a NS FI in TRACOM,but he say that discipline in SPF seems to be quite slack,the FIs will book out one,then he once saw some of the trainees "drawing out" their cigarettes out from their hidden "armouries" and smoke in HTA. XD
