Do you guys know abt the application and selection procedure for Security Command? Seems like it's abit similar to u.s. delta force selection course.
Female applicants can apply too but are their selection standards different from tt of guys?
Can senior police officers apply to join and what will they be doing (like planning work? or do they get overseas posting too?)?
Minister/VIP bodyguard loh.
I think the TS is a bit confused...
Do you know what US Delta Force does? Civil police can never match up, not even STAR team...and Security Command doesn't even have to do what STAR team does....its a totally different thing. watch too much movie...
Delta forces are like our SOF...they parachute, freefall, dive, penetrate deep into hostile ground undetected, sabotage, assasinate, surveillance and get out...all in small teams.
Security Command are VIP bodyguards. while they have special training, such as special driving skills, close protection formations, weapons, etc.... they do not have to do assasination, diving, freefalling....so its a totally different thing.
Anyway, all police officers have to go through 2 years of ordinary patrol police/NPC work before they can apply for transfer, subject to approval. you can't apply direct to any branch.
By the way, CNB, Prisons, ISD, are seperate from police control, so they have their own direct recruitments.
In all branches of uniformed service, there're senior and junior officers, mixture of ranks, there are senior leaders, team leaders and junior staff....so obviously going into any branch has nothing to do with ranks or if any certain rank can/cannot enter.
