Promotional aspect of SPO

Anyone has friends or himself is working in the SPF as a SPO? I would like to know how are the promotional aspects for:
1)Scholar who has attained 1st/2nd upp honours
2)Scholar who has attained 2nd lower honours & below
3)Non-scholar who has attained 1st/2nd upp honours
4)Non-scholar who has attained 2nd lower honours & below
I know that people who has attained 2nd upp honours and above will be promoted to ASP straight after the 9 months course and other honours will be promoted to inspector. But i would like to know what rank would people in the above scenario attain in different stages of their careers and the highest rank they will reach before they retire.
It would be best if anyone has the salary range for ranks up to superintendent.

Anyway, define your 'scholar'. PSC? SPF overseas? you would get a better reply if you meet up with the people in this forum instead of asking these questions here.
salary and promotion are a sensitive issue.
