  Hello everyone, anyone have any idea if height is a deciding factor for SPO? is there a min height for SPO? thanks in advance for any reply!

  Hi mxc, there is a min height but I dun think it is the deciding factor. It's 1.62m for guys and 1.57m for girls. So long you are not too short I suppose...

  mxc, i m applying for spo now haha. passed a few rounds already and i have a friend who is shorter than me who got in to jpo. i am shorter than you btw HAHA.

  Haha.2 weeks seem to be the magic number to hear any results. But for the panel interview, they normally only let you hear at most 1 week before it. So they have to fix the date first before they start calling you. This means your waiting time can be very varied. So prepare to wait a while

  Hi,

  I know this is the SPO thread but I'd like to ask around, I'm a pre-enlistee, attended the Selection Assessment 3 weeks ago at Old Police Academy. Presuming I've cleared that phase, will my application be affected if I'm PARTIALLY colour blind? Attended my medical checkup at CMPB today, there were some numbers which I couldn't see in the black book with dotted colours which they told me to identify the numbers. It'd be a pity if my application to sign on under the MTE got rejected due to partial colour blindness presuming that I cleared the Selection Assessment..

  Hi mxc, the dialogue will probably gauge your interest and your motivations for joinng the police force. Hi Dinosaurus, i would think colour blindness will affect your chances to some extent. I remembered my friend was posted to do staff work during his police ns due to his colour blindness although he was fit and oerform well with everything. Since yours is partial, i am not sure how much will it affect your chances. Do call up and ask the recruitment officers to confirm.

  nice to drop into the forum after 3 years in the force. Hope to work with some of you soon! Just remember that during interview sessions to be urself and answer the questions honestly and candidly, dont wayang and give PR answers. Just relax and enjoy the dialogue like I did. =)

  hi lazyfatcat7, orientation was ok. Just visited some places and attended briefings by mostly units in manpower department. booking in tonight :) I totally agree with Tung. I think trying to be someone you are not will be very obvious to the interviewer and makes your position undefendable eventually. Just be truthful and you will do fine. Of course, if you know that an answer will reflect badly on yourself, try to avoid it.

  I think I did super badly for dialogue session :( 

  anyway guys, if pass selection assessment, but fail dialogue, can apply again anytime? or need to wait a year or something?

  oh ya, did anyone of u notice the interviewer pressing a green and red button thingy during the interview itself? was kinda distracted by that.

  Green and red? I didn't notice though. Was too nervous to notice it. Mine was just asking me qn and they were taking down notes.
