Getting nervous and scared for the assement already.... And so many rounds to go through. 2 interviews right?

Relax guys, just have more rest the night before. Treat it like an exam and do the qns super fast otherwise you won't be able to finish most of the qns.

Agree with yjkeh. Selection test is just like an examination. Just have enough rest and have a clear mind before u go in.
Chloerachel: There are technically 3 interviews. One round w AD Manpower, one round with the psychologist and one round will be the panel. I said technically because the psychologist interview is a non cut off round, whereas the one with AD Manpower and panel are. My advice will be to take a round at a time. Be calm and be yourself. :) -
Thanks yjkeh and chomeisen. :) I have a rather stupid question to ask though, will I get penalize if I have painted nails? The color is not that striking.

Painted nails are ok because they can be easily removed. And you are not an officer yet so you are not governed by the code of conduct yet. The only bane I know of is

Hi peep. just to check. initially i was given a date to go for the assessment test. however, i pull out from it last minute due to lotsa family pressure.. But now, they are okay with the role after much persuasion. i'm not sure whether i can till resend or do i need to speak to anyone to explain... Hmm..

Hi CfCJ, I think you can try emailing to the address given in ur selection assessment email. Either way, you can call them as well. I think you can call the SPF Career hotline and they will route u to the correct person to speak to.
Chloerachel: I think for selection assessment its ok. Basically what will determine if you will make the cut is the results of your psychometric test and physical assessment. Therefore there is no "first impression" issues as they cannot cut u off if you clear that two test. Or rather, I do not think those testers are the one who decide if you make the cut or not. -

Oops, seems like i didn't complete my sentence. The only bane is having tatoos since they are permanent. I went for my board interview somewhere in the last week of june i think

Hello Chomeisen, the assessment was okay I guess. The whole session can actually be shorten IF the explaination of qn is being taken away. Now the waiting game shall begin.... The person-in-charge also informed that the entire session will be 3-4months.

Good to hear that it went ok! :) I think 3-4 months is considered fast, some took half a year. I'm now only waiting for panel interview after ard 2 months. Are u a fresh grad or holding a job now?
Btw yjkeh, how long has ur process been thus far?

Haha i applied in dec. but you can't make an example out of me cos i was studying overseas and can only come back during the holidays.

But, probably won't bother carrying a shoe just for that.

No need for sport shoes. The sports attire is required when they check for any tattoos and if you have any deformities in your body. They won't require you to run or anything. Just some simple marching. So u can change back to your formal attire to go home after that
