I went for the Police Officer Selection today. I read online that the 6 month training is stay in, only book out on Fri and book in on Sun.
What if I had completed my NS(which include 3 month stay-in BMT), I still need to stay in for another 6 more months if I am selected? =(
Btw, just learnt a new info. If IPPT cannot pass after this 6 month course, you will be withdrawn and have to pay back the training course and etc. =S

even if you finish 2 year NS it's still 6 mths........................now can book out on Friday liao ah ?
no worries about failing IPPT..................they will let you pass one........................
most things about police is just pure bullshit......................
it's a mickey-mouse organization after all....................
I would like to join SPF soon, but I have a few things I would like to enquire about:
1. What are the hours and days for VSC training? I am thinking of applying and probably doing the training during my university time. Dunno if time will clash.
2. How many application periods are there in a year? Or can we apply all year round?
3. What is IPPT and what does it include?
Replies are greatly appreciated!

Hmm, I am not sure what VSC training stand for but I know the training for Junior Police Officer is 6 month, only can book out on weekends. Thus, I don't think you can do the training during your university time.
2. How many application periods are there in a year? Or can we apply all year round?
I think there are a few periods whereby they recruit police officer. I am unsure about when but it should be all year round.
3. What is IPPT and what does it include?
IPPT is physical training which include Pull ups, sit ups, standing board jump, shuttle run and 2.4km run. You need to at least pass IPPT in order to pass out the Police Officer training
I see, thanks a lot, Fire! Hope you get selected!
Training hrs for VSC IIRC is ard 9 mths, $3.60/hr.
JO training book out friday ard 6 book in sunday ard 10.
all year round can apply, they always need manpower due to high turnover rate.
Asromanista2001 is retarded so ignore him: )
ippt must train, if fail kana terminated althou i heard tat my batch gt 1 guy who fail all the way no need pay back bond i dunno why.
anyway the training is around 7mth+ or more, on paper say 6 mth nia...
today just went for bond-signing. the officer said MUST pass IPPT, Law Test & Shooting. If not will be terminated from training then pay back the bond. Anyone can clarify this point ?
yangz Ya, its true. IPPT is a must, but I think can train up during the training. 6 months is a very long time to train up. Law test just work hard and shooting should be alright one.
shooting i am not worried, i got a marksman in NPCC..
only worried abt IPPT and law test. :(
