haha i doubt you'll be the only girl.. i was quite surprised to see that abt 20% of ppl at the selection were girls. there were abt 21-22 ppl on the day i went. =)
that's a relief... if anyone happens to be going for the 4th may session, plz let me know :)
Hi guys I went for the SPF SPO selection assessment and I was rejected after 3 weeks. I guess I must have somehow screwed up the psychometric test. Does that mean that I can forget about applying for SPF and as well as ICA, CNB and SPS ever again?

Well ica and prisons conduct their own psychometric tests.. and for spf you can retake the test after some time..

Oh, but I thought they share the same psychometric result/data of an applicant with one another. Is that not the case?
Because one of my friend need not take the test when he applied for SPF, as he had already taken it during the CNB selection assessment prior to the SPF assessment. Hence I thought of finding out more.
So any idea how long must I wait before I can retake the test with SPF?
Thanks alot for the time! =)

For cnb and spf they are for now sharing the psychometric test..so meaning u take with one of them, you dont need to take again or till it expires.. But for sps,ica its different they conduct their own..the test has validity of 3 years..

Wow 3 yrs... Ok, thanks a lot for the clarification.
anyone going for dialogue session on the 20th friday afternoon? :)
does anyone knows when is the next selection date?
i still have one more yr before graduating with an SIM UOL degree.
applying for SPO position. is it possible for me to apply now without having a degree yet, and start working for them ? (because my last yr only has one module. one class at 7-10pm, ONCE PER WEEK) so i have plenty of time to spare.
and since i wanna be with the SPF till i retire, i hope to join them now rather than hunting for jobs which i'm not interested in!

hey no i am not in spf.. you can sign bong and wait till graduate but i believe the longest is 1 sem.. unlikely they will wait one year for you. many things can happen in one year...
SIM degree is recognised in spf? i didnt know that.
Im 15 and I've pretty much set my mind on becoming a PO.
Can't wait till I turn 18 then apply for VSC haha (:
Are female officers looked down upon or anything? And are PT expectations of them lower compared to the male officers?
Oh cool ! I was 15 too , when i set my mind on becoming a PO xD . But too bad im still 16 =( . I dun think the females will be looked down on pretty much , larh . So , the expectations should be more or less the same .

U think SPF will allow u to join VSC at the age of 18 and without a stable job?
Hello everyone.
I've got 2 more sems to go to complete my B.Sc (NUS). I'm sure CCA records will prep up the portfolio. I only have good CCA Records from Pri(does this even count), Sec to Poly.
However, I do not have CCA records in Uni due to my struggle to earn money from teaching tuition, I couldn't afford the time. I was only doing volunteer work.
Is this going to affect the selection criteria, at all if I must know the scale of it? If so, I'd probably have to look at different perspectives for a job.
Like many of us here I also yearn to make it into the force since young, but oh well. I will still try. Isn't job satisfaction important too? =)
Hi ImLearning, like you, I did not have a CCA in Uni. I got in still, as an SPO. The interviewers dont just look at your CCA alone, There are many other aspects which you can impress them with..it's also very important to be able to perform in the interviews and convince the interviewers that you have the passion. So, dont give up, keep trying =D
