In conjunction with the announcement by the Ministry of Home Affairs on the change in leadership at the Central Narcotics Bureau ( CNB ), other changes in key appointments in the Singapore Police Force ( SPF ) and CNB are as follows:
Mr Wong Hong Kuan, 39, has been appointed the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Policy) with effect from 1 November 2010 . Since joining the SPF in 1995, DC Wong has held several key appointments, including that of Commander of Police Training Command, Commander of Bedok Police Division and Director of Operations, Operations Department.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Hoong Wee Teck, 47, will be appointed Director of the Criminal Investigation Department on 1 January 2011 . AC Hoong, who is currently the Director of the Police Intelligence Department, has served 23 years in the SPF , during which he has held key appointments such as Commander of Bedok Police Division and Deputy Director Police Intelligence Department.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Ng Ser Song, 48, will be appointed Director of the Police Intelligence Department on 1 January 2011 . AC Ng, who is currently the Deputy Director of the Central Narcotics Bureau ( CNB ), has held several key appointments in the SPF such as Deputy Director of the Criminal Investigation Department and Commander of Airport Police Division.
Mr Sim Wai Meng, 38, will be appointed Acting Deputy Director of CNB on 1 January 2011 . Mr Sim joined CNB in 1996 and has held key appointments such as Deputy Director of the Supervision Division before he was seconded to the Ministry of Trade & Industry as Deputy Director, Northeast Asia Division in 2009.

Mr. Wong Hong Kuan
Mr Wong Hong Kuan is the Chief-of-Staff for the Singapore Police Force. He has over 16 years of experience in law enforcement, leadership and human resource development, and finance policy formulation.
Besides serving in the Singapore Police Force and Ministry of Finance, Mr Wong has served the community through his involvement with the National Committee on Youth Guidance and Rehabilitation, the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) Council and the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC).
Mr Wong graduated with a B.Acc (1st Class Hons) in Accountancy from the NTU in 1994. He was appointed as a Foreign Fellow under the US Fulbright Programme in 2003 and graduated from the Harvard Business School with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 2005.
