Atleast its not that she doesn't pay at all and steal everything. She still paid for some things. The unpaid merchandise is just an urge because she doesn't have enuff cash to pay. And her kind of person, she is not the one that breaks the law kinda person. This is just so stupid of her to actually steal, breaking the law for her first time thinking she wun get caught but she was wrong. Gotta admit, she is stupid. But she is willing to pay for the loss and everything.
Roughly, will she be given a chance? she is just so scared. Lets not talk abt racisms here. It has got nothing to do with the questions. Just need an opinion. So stop the racisms. Thank you.
1. She's a full adult. So there will be less chance for mercy compared to what a juvenile shoplifter will get.
2. The fact that she paid for some of them makes no difference. The point is that she didn't pay for some of them, and that is what that is against the law.
She will be charged for stealing the things that she didn't pay for. The fact that she did pay for some other things is not a factor the courts would even consider. Especially since the value of the stolen goods far exceeds the value of the paid goods.
Otherwise, logically speaking, I can simply walk into a phone shop, pay for a cheap USB data cable, and steal an iPhone while I'm at. Should if I get caught, I can use the fact that I paid for the data cable as a defence. Think about it..... that doesn't make sense, right?
Like I said before, all I can say is to hope for the best (fine and/or probation), but to expect the worst (jail time).

I haf a qns. Lets say u committed petty theft under section 379. U attended the court hearing n the verdict is a 700 bucks fine, no jail term. The thing is, if u were to look for a job in future, will the company be able to check for yr record? My impression is that the company will only know if u gt go jail, if u only kana fine for theft, they wont b able to check rite?

oh, my lawyer said u dont need to declare in yr application if u din go jail. Wat i would lyk to know is whether a company has the access to check for records with regards to petty crimes? or they only haf access to check whether the person gt go to jail or not?
