u all sure know how to criticise the PAP! but have ANY of u guys thought what singapore would be without PAP? wake up! dont want stringent rules? then what? end up like malaysia? like Indonesia? a corrupt, super-relaxed system with no motivation whatsoever. u guys want that? no stringent rules, then what? u guys want roads congested on a daily basis? Fatal traffic accidents? a state where crossing the street is fatal? a traffic state like Thailand's? What do u want? god, if its not one complaint, its the other. sure, PAP has its flaws, but transforming a dirt-poor nation to a prosperous nation in less than two decades? can u guys find a more efficient, motivated government than this?

LIKE? ever saw a promising party come up in ANY elections? never saw one. they come and go like the wind, appearing during election season and campaigning for a 'new' singapore, then disappear after the elections. as far as i know, i dont see a promising group of candidates rising to the challenge. dont call pap communist, because its not that they have no opposition, its THAT NO OPPOSITION WANTS TO RISE UP. new leadership? sure, if theres any as competent as PAP. new parties just appear out of nowwhere, and then vanish after the elections? hello? u guys think rising to the government is a piece of cake?
