My masters degree in Senior police post

  Hi, I am new to this forum and got a question to ask. I intend to join the police as Senior police officer. Anyone know if my Masters degree would give me an advantage in terms of promotion or pay rise ? I know that the entry salary does not base on post grad degree, but would my masters degree be wasted? Would i be short changed?

  I got a Masters of Applied Economics from University of Adelaide. I did my course back in Australia.

  I believe it'd be similar to SAF. They have different payment schemes, and progression plans. Masters is no biggie tho, you'll be surprised to see a lot of scholars climbing over you.

  i believe they will look at your first degree and most likely u will start as ASP also.

  bu the way, having a master's degree doesn't mean you will get selected to be SPO.

  sorry everyone, i guess most of you guys mistaken my post. I not saying that my masters is very big or what. I just trying to ask if my Masters will contribute to my salary and my further promotion.

  hmmm, they take into acct ur 1st degree but MAYBE you get slightly higher pay and start as ASP.

   

  just apply for SPO and see how lor...if u get in then we will be colleagues.
