I am grousing.....
POs.
Please do not wear a round neck t-shirt that will be shown or is obvious under your uniforms? We are not civil defence officers where its okay to wear a obvious round neck tee under your uniforms. (Pardon me CD officers if I saw wrongly.)
Please, dont not even dare to say you can wear your JO uniform shirt tucked out and DARE to Contradict me to say SOs can do that. You forgot your belt? Borrow one! Dont walk around with your uniform shirt tuck out.
And if you hair is long enough to reach your shirt collar. Cut it or bun it up like what the female POs do.
Female POs.......if you hair is long enough to reach your collar, tie it up!
And dont believe its okay to wear your colourful bikinis under your white police t-shirts. Its also not okay to have your bikini strings trailing out from the back of your collar down your back!

regardless of rank
it is an honour to don the uniform. Honour aside, It is your responsibility as an officer to ensure you are presentable at all times. I will correct on the spot, by whispering to their ears, eh, ur shirt behind is not tucked in, go to the washroom. smth like that.

what you said is true, but the context of the situation is equally important, mate. for instance, if in team office after reporting off, there will be bound to be slack dressers.
likewise, like you said, when attending to incidents, personnel should endeavour to be as presentable and / or appropriately attired as possible.
it all depends on the context and situation lah, really.

Have any of you ever witness, raining and two squads of uniform officers marching up the slope at old PA, the guys carrying umbrellas and the gurls are marching normally, no umbrellas and such?
i suppose there will always be black sheeps in every herd. did you try to inform their superiors abt their attire? if so then i think you would have to write in to their head cos this kind of behavior in a recruitment drive is very very unacceptable.
and they must be very brave to talk back to you.
Police manual noted.
orh. okay
as a PO, if u come across a problem and only come to online forum to say out the problems without doing anything to resolve it isn't right.
You either, in real life, solve it yourself if you can or have the power to or highlight it to those who can solve it or have the power to. its dat simple as i have said in my previous post.
and you are assuming that I have not mentioned anything to the person in question AND I am the sort that complains to the sernior officers a lot ehhhh......
What you like to do, I am suppose to like too huh?
And oh, you get those police sewn on patches....
Please do not sew it into the butt of you jeans.
You sit on it when you are wearing your jeans.
I will either one, rip it off your butt holes, or sit on your face.
BTW, who knows whether Prisons ASP uniforms, inside can wear black/dark blue round neck t-shirts that is obvious to anyone looking at the officer to see a t-shirt peek out?
It's only in TRACOM mah. Not like they are doing that in the streets. If in the streets then different story. Dont get to angry la. Not good for health. :)

No. Because using umbrellas is against Police General Orders. That is why we are all issued with raincoats, be it during training days, or as part of patrol equipment.

You should look around more mate. Some people wear singlets inside, some don't wear undershirts, and some wear round neck t-shirts.
This is done across the board, irrespective of rank / vocation / department.

yah, last time is the heavy yellow pvc coat then changed to goretex one with the crest. now the uniform buttons oso better...i still keep my old buttons (the one with the small ring behind) though now no need liao cos go in will issue me new ones.
u which NPC/Division ? maybe during my orientation can say 'Hi' to u.
The new buttons wears off very fast, especially if you put it thru a metal drum washing machine.
If possible, to save the buttons, try to button your shirt, turn it inside out then put it thru the washing machine.
