Hey there, i have just completed my BMT and am posted to home team as a police oct insp (PNSF). Does anyone know whether police ocs has the same 3 week confinement as army ocs? And, how different is the training for ns octs as compared to regulars who have signed on?
Hey there,
For NSPI there will not be a confinement on the first week but there is a possibility of a 1 week confinement on the second week
In terms of training, NSPI training would be similar to training for Senior Officers of the Police Force, Regulars who have signed on goes through the Junior Officer and NPCO training syllabus.
Do expect alot of classroom lectures and exams and your physical training will be the toughest as compared to the rest in TRACOM. the senior officers syllabus is inclusive of most of what the junior officers are learning with additional classroom modules and it will be a 7-8 month course
No camera phones, PSPs, handphone chargers are allowed (rules have changed) but MP3 is fine
Anything else, i leave it as a surprise for you and see you on monday as your senior =)
Thanks a lot!
Oh, I was reading the SPF forum and there were some posts which said that the logistics for pt shoes and other stuff takes about 3 days to come and you'll be doing pt in whatever shoes you wore in when you came in. Is that true?
That would have to depend on the availability of sizes, but it is recommended to wear a suitable running shoe in
