hi guys, anybody with experience working in spf or cnb or both can tell me how is working experience like working in spf and cnb.I couldn't decide which one to join.?
thanks.
CNB deals with drugs. SPF deals with everything under th sun.( rioting, catch snake, traffic, murder, robbery, suicide).
CNB Officers do not wear uniform, allowed to dye their hair, carry their service revolver 24/7. They do not work in shift unless deplyed at checkpoints. Job nature is dangerous and working hours irregular.
Take the CNB.
PCG.
Ok....take the PCG task force, the SOC, the TP Task force and the CIDs.

i beg to differs for your para 2... =)
CNB officers do wear uniform when needed.... NOT allowed to dye hair unless needed... need not carry their revolver 24/7... but they are issued with one.... they DO work shift even if not in checkpoints....
as for job nature... both are equally dangerous and working hours irregular.... it depands on how you see it...
Well, CNB no NS boys........

I beg to differ. Like what a CNB officer told me, CNB sees all the action during a drug bust, ppl resisting arrest, running away, jump out of window. Police will only get to see the aftermaths. CNB officers will only wear uniform during the 6 mths HTA training. NO officers need to return the police uniform after the 6 mths training ended. I never seen CNb officers wear uniform before. How to work in uniform? ppl can see u from miles away.
I still believe CNB officers risk level is higher than the average PO. Drug addicts and traffickers are desperate ppl. They will do anything to escape. Dye hair is allowed but of cos if the officer is under the pubic education awareness, having dyed hair is not very appropriate. Shift work for NO is very rare, the official working hours is mon to fri. But i think the working hrs shld be longer than that
any idea on what the background check is all about?

CNB has uniform? Under what conditions will they wear them?
CNB has no uniform my friend. They wear CV.
Think they have lah, those weird weird small jacket over white shirt, over black pants with a corset sash to hold in the tummy kind.
Or is thatwhat the spf wears only.
Cant think liao.....too much volka in me.
SPF or CNB? Both are equally useless. SPF cant recover my stolen bike and CNB anyhow arrest me.

Yawn... You can ask batman or superman to help you recover your bike. Police is not superheroes...

But the risk is higher. i dont mind the risk but my family really against it

Facing the 4 walls is really depressing. Really respect to those in the prisons profession.

CNB should be better than SPF.
