So training starts april ah... It might get delayed, so that's only tentative... Good luck!
Ya, they din tell me the exact date. Thanks anyway =)
Hmm can anyone enlighten me on the last panel interview with the senior management? As in what is it about? Because I was wondering since we have already gone thru one panel interview so what is this one about? Are they gonna ask similar questions? Thanks in advance

Very very last one is just to meet with the Commissioner of Police. By right, he can reject you. but he usually just meet all the new cadets, sort of a formality, friendly meeting.
They call it meeting with senior management because if CP is busy, the deputy will stand in.
Do SPOs still have to go for training in Nepal? I heard its damn siong there...

Oh ok, then does it happen very often that the CP rejects people? Getting quite anxious about this cuz coming a long way till this stage n get rejected, I guess I'll truly be very sad =(
Btw thanks for the info, really appreciate it. =)
For training in Nepal, it is still on if im not wrong. That's what the interviewer told me during e dialogue session.

Not too sure about CP rejecting people though, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for you mate.
And I do not know where people get their sources from, but senior officer trainees will be going to Nepal. It is part of their 9-month training, and a mandatory component at that.
All the best! =)

OBS trip is for Officer Cadet Trainees [OCTs], NSFs who will graduate as National Service Probationary Inspectors [NSPIs]. Training has since been reduced for this lot, from the previous 9 months to 8 months currently.
The Nepal Trip is for Senior Officer Trainees [SOTs], regulars who will either graduate from their 9-month course as Inspectors of Police or Assistant Superintendents of Police.
Big difference in training, pay, job scope, et al.

if I am not wrong, training for SO trainees is divided into three blocks of 3 months. Should be going for Nepal trip in the second block, i.e. 4th to 6th month I think.
Why is the police activated when there's a snake? are they snake catchers too?
Originally posted by The Showstopper:Why is the police activated when there's a snake? are they snake catchers too?
Policemen are snake catchers, snake eaters, snake charmers (Those human snakes kind, where they need police presence to show some kinda decent charm.) & possibly snakes suppliers (For when the zoo needs some extra nourishment for their gibbons, or when the army commandoes need to show the recruits how to skin snakes.)

technically, the Police should only be called in for cases when the snakes are venemous, because there is an immediate threat to life. if not, pestbusters or the zoo should be called in, as they are better trained to do the job.
but what to do... Police free mah. call Police no need to pay, unlike calling in pestbusters. If you call the zoo, the zoo will only ask you to call for Police.
So the end product is... everything also call Police. Primarily because they are free-of-charge.
