Couple tries to "book" Mata Chia, and gets booked in turn

this is so lol ....
couple sees police car parked in rain shelter, buay lun, went to confront the policemen attending to a call and told them to bugger off .....
policemen followed them back, pointed out the "no parking except for police, ambulance and authorized vehicles" sign .... saw that the couple had parked their car behind the police car, and promptly wrote out a ticket to the couple for illegal parking ......

The policemen were not wrong. They have the right to park their car there esp if they were to attend to emergency case at the nearby coffee shop.

if you read the article ... you'll get the sense that the couple were pissed off cos they couldn't use the rain shelter themselves to drop groceries off ....so "they went on the war path", parking their own car in an unauthorized zone as well.
it's such a petty thing to get riled up about .... it's not like the policemen were drinking kopi at the kopitiam ......
I'm with the policemen on this one ... some singaporeans, are really too selfish for their own good ...

like I said, if you read the article on the linky I pasted, you get the sense that the couple "buay lun" cos they couldn't use the rain shelter themselves to drop off groceries .....
this is not a holier-than-thou attitude, this is a selfish and stuck up attitude that smacks of intolerance ....
they are probably the sort of neighbour who complains when a baby starts wailing at 11pm ....
again, the policemen were attending to a call, they were not sitting in a coffee shop drinking coffee ... to go there and make noise, and in turn to make a fuss when they get booked for illegal parking themselves ...
and have they no shame ? .... to make such a public fuss thus ? ... it's clear that they were the ones in the wrong ....
