why do you keep insisting i think the police will treat suspects and witnesses as VIP?
did you went through of the stuff you stated personally?
you very old is it?
Then how you think the police get confession from suspects?
They talk it out of them?
Quite deluded right.
I don't know what's your point of defending SPF, probably you have some kind of vested interest in it.
I present the case as what I heard from my worker, he is a hardworking and honest worker, so I am more likely to believe his story.
In the past, there were also cases of police brutality in the papers, but I guess you don't know about it.

Those uneducated lot. One of my worker was locked in there for 2 days before they were convinced that he is innocent. He was an innoccent bystander that just happened to be at the place where the gang crash occurred. Since he was uneducated and looked like gangster, the police took him in for interrogation.
He didn't have beer and peanuts while he was in the cold room.
Even his handphone was confiscated, we tried to call him but couldn't get him, it was like he just disappeared from the face of the earth.
Nope, they just keep it for you. Same goes for your cigs, wallet and etc.
You're still entitled to one call, it's your right. But chances are, don't expect to get it before you go through some 'sayang'. The cold room, the cold room.. urban myth eh? Doesn't matter what you think or heard, I'm not here for a debate.

there is a simple way for the police to handle any potential accusation of mistreatment, irrespective whether the person in custody is guilty or not.
be proffessional in the treatment of suspects.
i dun think i got hear anyone having their handphone by their side in a lock-up,
playing games/listening mp3/smsing/phone calling// on their handphone in a lock-up sounds like some fairytale man.

Well, at least they should inform the immediate family members of his arrest, but no such information was released, like I said, he just disappeared from the face of the earth for 2 days.

I did tell you for sure that the police didn't beat up the suspect, and didn't treat the suspect like VIP.
have it occurred to you that the fact that police brutality is in the papers mean that police brutality is not condoned, and that the police who practiced it is being punished, and the public is encouraged to come forward since there is precedence?
hmm....your worker immediate family was not informed?

Don't think the cold room is an urban myth, believe me it exist, it's up to you to believe. Do you think they just sit down talk to you pleasantly asking for your confession?
ISA has it's own brand of torture room, Francis Seow was a victim to it, he had intense spot lights shinning on him for afew days, deprived of sleep, till he had sun burn.

Nope. We called the wife at home, she said he left for work quite early. We called the next day, there were also no news from the wife.
He went to a coffee shop in Geylang to have his lunch, turns out there was some gang activities and he was caught in the midst of it, they just locked him up, took his handphone. He told me of the cold room where he was kept, told me there were like 4 aircons running full blast, think the floor was also metal or something (can't remember this point).
Hey guys, no need to dispute over the matter.
TS is just a kid who obviously does not have a good occupation. Why would anyone ,who cares abt his family welfare, go up to Police and do such nonsense? Aren't there better things to learn to upgrade ourselves in times like this?
Given the situation in Spore, who will be thinking of such things? We should be thinking abt making our jobs secure and bring the bread and butter home. If you wanna go to the Police, might as well ask them if they are recruiting ppl, or maybe any cilivian post to offer.
u wun find an answer here to be frank.
if theres a need, feedback to the force. they would be able to answer u.
metal floors? i only seen concrete and carpet floors...

And many threats, of course - many interrogators think long and hard and design ways of torture without leaving a mark.
Some years ago, the Singapore police used to put suspects up in front of freezing cold air-conditioners for an hour in the hope that they would talk without leaving a mark.

I think the interviewee got it wrong, it's still in use today, but not as rampant as before, perhaps in severe cases where they believe the suspect is really the perpetrator.
According to my worker, it wasn't only an hour.
lockup? its still concrete though.
i been to de basement, the armoury n stuff, also concrete.
maybe its a newer NPC lor...its like our HTA range liddat. hahahaz.

You think they will confess to this issue?
If you write to them, they will just tell you no such torture or place exist and they follow the CPC 100%.
Just like they tell you Temasek is making lots of money overseas and the economy will not be affected by a US downturn (LKY).
Government stuff is all hush hush, lots of skeletons that they don't want the less informed to know about.

i don't care what LKY has got to do with it, but if you enquire on police procedure, someone will have to answer.
why your worker's family not contacted? go and ask.

true.
no proof to prove you are innocent doesn't mean you are innocent.
Sighs.
All those losers with personal vendetta desperately trying to debate me, but to no avail.
I have stated my case, if you don't believe so be it.
I have little time to indulge myself in egoistical arguments like the little boys here.

ya,,i mean the lockup i been to in the NPC, the environment looks like our HTA Range. concrete floor and walls. minus-ing the others.
Well, there are many things which cannot be seen on the surface.

unless you are the person handling it, u wun noe the details.
