If so, where and how do they hit to avoid evidence or getting caught?
Will it make any difference if I dare/ challenge them to punch me?
no.
They do, I spoke to some folks who got thrown in the cold room and got beaten up.
Officially they don't, but unofficially they do.

I guess you are not so knowledgable about police procedures.
I supposed during interrogation, the police buy you a jug of beer and peanuts, then proceed to have cultured conversation with you.
Don't tell me you are deluded?

I guess you are very familiar with police procedure.
I suppose during interviews, the police beat up all the suspect to force a confession.
don't tell me you experience it or exercised it?

Yes. Enough to shiver.
Imagine this..
"Hey F u.. #$#$@$#... what L* SHIRT U WEARING? KN#@ $#$#.. TAKE OFF UR SHIRT"
And you're standing.. in a enclosed room.. with only a PC, 2 chairs and a desk.. The aircon is at full blast..

It's not the interview room I am talking about.
The room I am talking about has 3-4 aircons blowing at full blast, it's where they keep you there for long periods of time to soften you up. If you don't confess after certain time, they will beat you up somemore.
wah
imagine an innocent person go through all these..

I don't know, I don't 'spoke to some folks' :)
What's more accurate than getting your hands dirty than 'speaking to some folks'?

I suppose the police follow your interrogation technique then, buy him a jug of beer and peanuts, then proceed to talk it out of him. If he is tight lipped, you buy him somemore beer or you throw in a hooker?
If the police follow your kind of interrogation technique, which suspect will confess? Hell I would volunteer to get interrogated, since there is beer, peanuts and hooker.
Obviously you are seeing Singapore Police Force through rose tinted glasses.
You are still very young is it?

You know who are those folks that always get abused?
Those uneducated lot. One of my worker was locked in there for 2 days before they were convinced that he is innocent. He was an innoccent bystander that just happened to be at the place where the gang crash occurred. Since he was uneducated and looked like gangster, the police took him in for interrogation.
He didn't have beer and peanuts while he was in the cold room.
Even his handphone was confiscated, we tried to call him but couldn't get him, it was like he just disappeared from the face of the earth.
wow....din noe there was such a practise?
i only know that i on the air-con real cold in my office due to the fact the watercooler was not working and i want my mineral water to be cold.
