Hi Vicious Kitty, Read that you are a former CNB Officer. I m called up for an interview in dec. May i know what to expect for the interview? What are the pros and cons of this job and is it possible to study for degree in cnb. I heard its a no life job. True?? CNB dont encourage officers to upgrade themselves?

if you are in, get a part time degree and hope to become senior officers, not that easy.

Interviews are always standard. Remember to tell of how you want to do the Singapore Pledge thingy and how much you want to do the job, even if its just doing admin. Pros? Maybe seeing things which not everyone sees in their normal life. Maybe the uncle doing a cat, the beautiful china nightclub hostresses & the homes of some people. Where they keep their stuffs and who buys or distribute drugs, vcds, have children and what their children are used for in their industry. Plenty of cons....like what ChrisBeniot does....whines, complants, insults & there is plenty from people who felt they are innocent and smarter or whichever they believes themself to be. CNB work can be pretty boring and exciting one time to another. Within 3 minutes, you can go from sitting quietly in the car to running down some folks...Or in instances, try to grab that stupid kid from the window after the granny opened the gate. Or you see mothers pinching their baby to make the baby cry as a warning others planning to go into a flat to buy drugs. or druggies stayng in cheap hotel rooms and errr....generally making a mess of themselves. Maybe after robbing some cars for $$$ to buy those drugs. CNB work has irregular timing, so if you are planning for degree studies, you have to arrange your time properly. It wont be easy and it takes plenty of discipline to do so. I rather people takes sabbitical instead of studying while working.

It's ridiculous how CNB have the power to search a house, arrest a person, all without warrants being issued.
any officer from the CNB, irrespective of rank, has the right to enter a place and search it, as well as anyone in it, if they have sufficient grounds to believe that any drug-related offences have been committed. without a warrant.
if you want to see the entire thing you can seek out section 24 (1) [the entire portion is divided into 5 different portions] of the misuse of drugs act, cap 185.
this effectively renders your argument... ineffective.

Thanks for your advice and Inputs! Its really informative. But i scared i wont get selected cos i dont have those bad boy looks. Dont look nerdy too but i heard they keen to hire ppl that look like bengs

Sorry, am halfway across the globe now. The backside now is so sore for flying 23 hours and sitting in trains and cars for for most the days I am travelling.Nope, they dont only hire guys that looks like bengs. I've seen them so dont be worried.

1. Look under info. It points to this thread, "CNB anyhow arrest people!" Isnt that mentioning how CNB is not doing their job properly?2. How much is the cost of production for this? What do you expect? Special effects?
3. The voice is fake because if you hear a real voice, your speakers would break.

Ok so what is your idea of a good production?
A) find a real cnb officer who is involved in the unjustified arrest and tie him to a chair, then beat him up. Drip hot candle wax on him, then finally drench him with kerosene and set fire to him. All the while blasting the music "The Final Countdown" by Europe.
B) find the group of cnb officers and force them to play the game where you remove a block from the bottom and put the block on top. The person who makes the building collapse gets shot in the head. Then the process is repeated until last man standing. The last man opens the door to freedom, walks out, and is shot in the back of his head.
C) play musical chairs with the group of cnb officers. The music is "barbie girl". The loser is fed to the sharks. Continue until last man standing, then throw him to the sharks anyway.

Sounds just like drug fellas fantasy while on drugs.... Chris, even with your production or your script writing.....is totally lame, i hope you do find someone that shares your fantasy to produce such a program for the general public. It might help to make criminals dies laughing instead of cnb or police officers needing to catch criminals.
