but sometime things happen at senariao you cannot escape, fight happen easily with amoung these people, can you say "no" even if you said those fighter will not hear you.
need not be alone, need time to let them see through their "so call" friends.
better to see thru, what is "peng yu"? or is it "yu peng"
As said this is about choices. Is this person aware that the group he/she hangs out with may like to 'find trouble' that will escalate to a fight?
I think the courts see differences between fighting occured in groups or a person getting beaten up by another group.
All of us here were young once (or those who are still young here), do all of us get into fights? =)
If a fight really breaks out, then run lor!

i like the counselling part but i feel i will not make it through the physical training.
I think prison officers do not perform the counselling role per se. They employ professional counsellors, whom that I know to be non uniformed cohort to do the job.
Religious counsellors can only function only when the inmates are interested in religions and willing to commit the practice.

not that easy to run
KTV high end kinds also had happen 3 fights within that night
any way like what you say run, but better is to hide first.
angry fighter vision is really bad.
and worst, fight within same groups, help who?, pull aside who?
next day, statement day, all different stories, broken leg fighter still inside hospital, broken head, stright and stay home,
police cannot get real statement
group covered real statement

It's not about the technical part of running or hiding per se, whichever will make you more safe, but the point of choosing the people and place you hang out with.

I applied for the position and got called for interview. I am just concerned if I can pass the physical training.
Congrats!
Didn't know you're into this.
Originally posted by red_amoeba:got friend who is SPO – physical requirement like normal PES B requirements. Need to sign bond, need a guarantor to sign on the contract.
Training for 6 mths at Home Academy before being posted. Initially got to work shifts and once or twice a month have to do night duty (as duty officer).Otherwise if you are SPO, you usually do day shift – but they start early in the day and end around 3 plus. If you are single, can choose to take up the company’s dorm at nominal rental, like that you save on travelling esp if you will be posted to Changi Complex.
As SPO you dun really interact with the inmates but rather take more admin role and supervise the Junior Officers (wardens)...at least that is what I know from my friend.
Thanks for the input!
In that case, I dun think Im going for it.

Recession coming.
You sure you can float around the social service industry?
hey cherrycola, why don't u go for the interview? since they've selected u... if u can't meet the physical requirement, maybe u can ask them if they need counsellors... at least then they may keep u in mind next time a counsellor position is open...
