Some examples? You want to take the kucing kurap drink driving of SAF soldiers and compare with how SPF lost a terrorist and mobilise how many thousands of army soldiers to co-ordinate with the police side? Or how i see one whole chain gang of our boys in blue cluster-farking at Changi Exhibition Centre playing PSP during OVL while the bloody infantrymen have to play hide and seek in the jungles during heavy rain and yet have to maintain cover and tactical silence?

The cluster fuck of npcc boys is not of my concern. and if they are really police, you know how many STOMP pictures will turn up? the police team have to take turn resting and lunch break for their half day duty, so go carpark relax, also got people STOMP, police nua at a public convention when on duty confirm will STOMP one.

I don't think government will involve NPCC boys in operations. And why no pictures appeared in STOMP is because the spot they were "resting and/or supper break" (it was very late) is damn damn ulu...
If it was a proper resting time, why they have to hide at carpark leh? Station no facilities for the welfare of it's PO? If that's the case, no wonder got so many PO wanna quit la...
Don't blame STOMP, don't blame public. SPF are very UP, very siao on image, that's why when one PO slack abit, all eyes on them liao. If you want to be UP, better stay UP..

Maybe army guys don't get to yaya around in public that much, so when they DO get out for Ops...they tend to be more serious. We all know that complacency will lead to mistakes. And we all know it's harder to fall asleep in a tent with all the bugs, compared to an air-conditioned vehicle.
Sian female colleagues? Sorry lah, again, i think SPF got more chio bu officers compared to army.
Army work relax? Okay lah...where got stress out like PO, have to face public wrath, buy food also have to play hide and seek, do what also scared kana stomp... Army only free go outfield sleep with mosquitos, wild dogs, 3D/2N nature getaway. once in awhile do standby 2 weeks never see family/gf, once in awhile got someone die during training...hmmm not as stressful as our noble SPF lah...

for the 2nd part, yes, they stay in carpark to rest that way, so if anything happen, they will skip their rest time,and move out to help fast. if nothing happen, they will rest in peace.

Well, hell, care to reveal which unit and camp you are in. I do know some nice commander folks that may be proud that you spoke out for the arm forces in such nice way in a police thread.

SCDF i respect. Put life on the line. Real danger. Fire can break out anytime. DART/HAZMAT/Firefighters/Paramedic all go through tough training.
SPF STAR/Gurkhas i also have the UTMOST respect.
How can i bear to mock girls? They make life so much more bearable. =) They don't do NS also good, less distraction.

Why is there a need to compare the two organizations? Basically, it can be summarized as such:
The SAF is a much larger organization than the SPF. Hence, more manpower.
Also worth noting is the difference in proportion: SAF has more NSFs than regulars, while the opposite is the case in SPF.
Both organizations have different functions.
Different types of fatigue abound while carrying out duties, for both departments: Army is obviously much more physically tiring, while doing frontline duty for the SPF is mentally tiring.
Two different organizations. Different responsibilities [specifically, not as a whole], and differences in environment.
Why the need to compare?
Just be respectful and give respect where it is due.
To both sides.
And for what it is worth, the Police did not lose the terrorist. The ISD did. They operate outside the SPF. And the SPF got roped in, together with the SAF to assist in the search.
Your understanding would be very much appreciated.

Disputes? Death Cases, natural or otherwise? Court Cases? Public Order incidences? VIP protection? Ambulance needed cases?
On top of Police assistance required cases - cat stuck on tree, people's life problems, locked outside one's own house, clearing items on the road... etc.
If only you knew what the Police have a hand in attending.
But you don't.
