Recent security lapse might have errupted due to low incentives like the pay. Yes some may argue u gotta sign for passion. But look, with current rate of inflation, passion cannot ensure one's survival!
Did not post in police forums because i think this issue is on a general lvl. Police officers are just one example.
Our ministers earn highest salaries in the region but the supposedly world class police in sg earns like crap.

In HK, the police have to deal with triads.
In sg, the policeman will be supported by 20 other policemen in riot gear when confronted by a few civilians holding placards and protesting govt policies peacefully.
See the difference?

In Singapore, they can't or refuse to deal with simple jobs, so not worth to be paid that much compared to HK police. Majority of the police in spore have bad attitudes.

In singapore, the paranoid police very into defending themselves, always want to win over whatever complaints about them when complaints are valid.

Kena bulllied by police. Met so many of them with bad attitudes. Witness the way the police treats the resident. Pissed off. Most of the time the police push their responsibilities. I am not the only one who encounter this, many others have the same experience.

Most complaints are made because of this thing called Public Perception... The problem with Public Perception is that its simply perception, its not fact... I've seen Police handling a very rude and unreasonable MOP but next morning received complaint that Police is being rude to the MOP...
Perception and facts are 2 different things...

Perception and facts are 2 different things...
You can't just generalise things like that. I have cases where it is not public perception. If the police think there are far too many cases of public perception, they can always educate the public about it.
