Physical Look matters to be PO?

I was wondering if the interviewers for PO applicants does concern about the look of the interviewees during interview? As in, "do they look fierce enough to be police?", or "do they look too blur that they lost the dignity?"
I aspire to be a PO, but my relative have been saying that SPF sure dont want you cause u look like a children. Does look really matter? -

i was thinking if i can, i will go for degree first then SPF, if can't, i will go straight to SPF. But i really hope to get into SPF as soon as possible.

even if never... u can study degree.. then becum SPO... SPO with NS salary is alot!!

look up the pay difference between a PO and SO. u will understand why forumites ask u to take a degree first.
If u sign on as a PO, u can still further ur studies in the force, with a outstanding pen-picture, and the support of ur colleagues/superiors, u still can go for a SO conversion.

Can sign on as police in NS then after 2 years take degree in like NUS or NTU? then after that join back as SO?

u shld take a degree 1st den sign on spo... cause if u wanna quit its still not too late... ur degree can chiong outside work as well... if u join as a jpo its very difficult to study with shift work... and the bachelor of justice... i find its quite worthless...

Is it that if i sign on as JPO, no matter how good or excellent i perform, i will not be able to promote to SPO? I mean just based on performance, rather than the degree itself.

Promotion will depend very much on your performance and potential.
But think about it.... why would they promote you, when they can get a fresh SPO? -

What makes you think you can stand out?? Remember, you cannot do full time studies. Can you juggle between shift works and then maintain good grades? -
i mean if compared to fresh SPO and PO with experiences and good performances. People may have experiences but doesnt mean that they can perform good. Fresh SPO can perform good in the initial stage but they doesnt have much experiences. So it is best to perform good with experiences too. So, for e.g. if i join as PO, then i perform good within that few years, i can still fight with those fresh SPO right? This is my personal opinion bah.

PO needs to be at least 1.65m to 1.85m for guys. Too short and too tall they dont like.

I think physique is more important ... we've all seen pretty and not so pretty women officers, so physique ya.
As for height ... I've seen some tall officers ... definitely taller than 1.85m
