Must Salute Or Not?

Do police officers salute to senior immigration officers or senior prison officers? Or CD Officers for that matter....
Ok..maybe must salute.. however.. their rank is equal to their counterparts in other groups?
I mean, personnel from different group... are they all given same kind of... "rank power treatment"....something like tat.. lol -

Issit so difficult just to raise up you hand to salute them? iTs a requirement to pay compliments to officers bearing SSI(1) and equivalent ranks and above....

I agree with you. Does it really matter who we pay compliments to? If you salute the Commission or SO it shows that you have respect but if he doesn't accepts it than just don't bother. This voice down to the upbringing of a person. So... Why bother of such thing on who to pay compliments and not to right? -
