Must Salute Or Not?

Actually this is targeted to all of MHA uniformed groups....
Example
Do police officers salute to senior immigration officers or senior prison officers? Or CD Officers for that matter....
Ok..maybe must salute.. however.. their rank is equal to their counterparts in other groups?
I mean, personnel from different group... are they all given same kind of... "rank power treatment"....something like tat.. lol -
if on duty with peak cap.

coz i been saluting those SCDF and SPS senior officers at tracom. -

auxiliary police never. coz they are not part of hometeam.
ICA i never salute before.

i dun like saluting them.
in tracom we din salute them, they also walked off. bochup also.
so we din noe whether need to salute.

de above agencies, some SO if u din salute them, they will kp u 1. so we learnt our lessons. but ICA bo chup, so we bo chup also. -

from your POV as a police officer.... when u see officers from other groups.. in MHA... u view them.. as someone important?... or just.. another officer from prison.. guarding inmates only... or "chop" passport only...

but of course, if the rank has the state crest, regardless of formations or service, still has to salute.. -

so. we are no different from each other in terms of the safeguarding our country.
each officer deserve my respect. but i dun go around greeting everyone lah
when in full gear, if see any senior officer, ill just stand to attention, salute, or greet depending on situation. as a form of respect to the person's agency, 2nd rank, 3rd efforts in keeping our country safe.
each agencies has their own role to fufil, but its the united strength which holds this society together. -

We must treat every officer with the same amount of respect regardless of race, language, religion, rank or agency. that was taught to me.
thats what im taught.
i dun think there is any special treatment. coz we are always working hand in hand, furthermore our main functionality differs frm 1 agency to another. -

At training we got salute but once we are out of training, heck care liao..^^

I also see my boss (JO) without peakcap salute a senior officer without peakcap aso.

if i remember correctly... ministers must salute... commissioned officers from scdf and mindef must salute cause they are commissioned by the president/minister/pm... dunno who commission them... as for ica and the other apos... their really high ranking officers aka supt and above are actually seconded from spf... tt 1 if i regconise the face i might salute them for the fact that they have the spf rank of supt and above... the rest heck care... most of the time i dun regconise them hahaha
