They prey on the ignorant, and as the people get better and better informed, these sting operations get more and more sophisticated.
When it concerns money, always speak with someone else first, your spouse, a relative, or even your neighbour. When you do, and as you narrate your story, it will dawn on you that it is rediculous that you should transfer your money.

My wallet was stolen from my car one time.
One night, out of the blue, two male IO, one female uniformed officer showed up at my door to ask for me.
The moment I open the door and sees them....I was so happy that I asked: You found my wallet!??
They were all taken aback....
Turns out.....whoever stole my wallet, took my IC, got a female to book this guy into a hotel room at Jalan Besar.
That guy was subsequently arrested wandering on the streets and charged for drug consumption.
The officers raided that hotel room and found lots of wallets and housebreaking items.
Thinking that I am the guy's g/f and thus used my NRIC to book that guy into that hotel....the POs has actually came for me at my home.
Thank goodness I had my Police report with me in the home and can produce it to the officers. I later still have to make a trip down to make another police statement (at another police station) to that effect.
It was kinda a long standing joke among my friends, relatives & my ex hub.....that I had a b/f.

something new Just received a call in my Company, claiming to be from a Canadian company doing survey and only need two mintues of my time .. they only ask for marketing manager .. first question is $5000 too much for my company to invest ? I say yes and she got a shock.. She say that is very little money and I yes again... then she say she need my company as she is doing survey and I say " since you can get my me through my Company, you should know my name " ... then the phone go dead.......
