Imagine that you were in his shoes and your papers dropped. Will you be smiling happily. But perhaps the PO over did what he supposed as staring will always cause problems here especially here in SG.Originally posted by anfieldheroez:I'm posting regarding an incident that happened to me last night that shows how our Police Force is becoming badder. I was at Serangoon Road for the Deepavali pasar malam with my friend. Then there were cars that were parked at the double yellow line and 2 police officers were issuing tickets. They were police officers not the parking officers nor Traffic Police. So they were standing on the pavement and talking to a lady in the car. Then as there was no place to walk,as on the right the grass was muddy and the had the car, i walked behind them, squeezing my way past. Then i accidentally banged one of them and his papers dropped. I turned around and i said 'Hey very sorry'. Then the police officer just stared at me, he just stared like those gangsters do when they have a problem.
He gave that look and just stared. Then i said sorry again. He just stared angrily. Then he looked down as his papers had fallen and stared back at me. Me and my friend just stood there. Then he asked 'Why must you bang?' I said 'sorry ah not purposely what, i was walking you can see there's no space and why must i bang you?' Then he continued staring. I was angry as well because this was completely absurd. It was a complete accident. I would had happily picked up the papers for him had he not given that f uck face. I mean accidents happen and i had appologised as well.
If you bang into a stranger, even they forget the matter when you said sorry. And here was a police officer, showing off his authority and staring at me and trying to intimidate me. Even his officer seemed shock at what was happening. Then i told him again as he was still staring angrily 'Look i already told you i'm sorry, what more you want, you think i wanna bang you for fun is it?' At that point my friend held me and said 'F uck it la,let's go'.
I mean fine it may be my mistake that i banged accidentally. It was not as if i sent him flying. It was purely accidental. Even strangers tend to smile or walk away. Sigh. Please share your views.
I think TS shall write down his name and ask his unit and file a complaint letter if u think his attitude is bad.Originally posted by loonyloony:Imagine that you were in his shoes and your papers dropped. Well just live and let live, forgive and forget. You will be a happier person than bearing grudges.
If you still feel unhappy on this matter just drop a comment to the unit it may make you happier that way.
Cheers!
I'd agree with VJunkie's assumption, i.e with the area being muddy and all, it's highly possible that the controlled forms were in a physically bad condition after the fall. I think that could be the main reason why he looked less-than-pleased with you. Add dirty unused forms to dirty used ones which need following up on, and what you get is a person who gets possibly irate.Originally posted by anfieldheroez:I'm posting regarding an incident that happened to me last night that shows how our Police Force is becoming badder. TS was at serangoon road
Police Officer issueing tickets to car parking illegally
As they were on pavement
u had to squeeze pass them
Then u bang him
His papers drop
TS upon impact
TS : Hey very sorry
PO : Stared at TS
PO : Cont Staring
TS : Just stood there
PO : Stared down on his fallen paper, and stared back at TS
PO : Why must u bang?
TS : Sorry ah not purposely what, i was walking you can see there's no space and why must i bang you?
PO : Continue to stare at TS
TS : 'Look i already told you i'm sorry, what more you want, you think i wanna bang you for fun is it?
TS Fren : 'F uck it la,let's go'
the bottomline. the PO wan u to pick up hes paper. but u din do it.
well, kitty, i'm sure we all have such experiences. it's smth we have to deal with i suppose. of course, different people deal with such matters differently...Originally posted by viciouskitty74:I have very similar experiences with members of public.
And was even manhandled by some, just because it serves their ego, to boast to their friends that they did that and even made complaints against me that my attitude was rude.
I had no recourse against such abuses.
He was told off. And I suat, cos I believe that in that heat of the moment, where he did that, he was only trying to help the person that I was managing.Originally posted by Tiggerific:anyway kitty, just to ask... if you kena manhandled... that would constitute using criminal force on a public servant during the discharge of duties, no? no course of action taken against the perpetrator?
i want to noe. the bottomline. did he pick up de papers which was dropped due to him banging onto de PO. i believe the PO onli wanted him to pick up the papers.Originally posted by newcomer:u think u writting shakespear play ah?
I think otherwise.Originally posted by corebooster:i want to noe. the bottomline. did he pick up de papers which was dropped due to him banging onto de PO. i believe the PO onli wanted him to pick up the papers.
A VSC is definitely more delicated and commited. It's their passion that brought them to join, you think they'll throw such attitude while in uniform?Originally posted by corebooster:whats make u think that a NSF attitude differs from a Regular or from a VSC.
Agreed.Originally posted by corebooster:i have seen NS policeman serving the force with the same amount of pride compared to VSC or Regular Officers. Although i dun deny the fact that NS pooliceman are ''forced'' to served, but there are many of them who serve the nation with pride in the uniform.
So you are saying, that you are a better person then the PO, because you forget when people bangs into you and say sorry?Originally posted by anfieldheroez:I did not pick up the papers. I had mentioned earlier i think that i moved forward to pick em up but the way he was looking at me i did not want to bother.
He was talking to someone in the car and there WAS enough space for me to walk through. I don't go around banging POs for fun, but next i realized i had banged into him. And i don't bang into people ALL the time but those i've had, i've said sorry and the matter has been left there. Same for others who have banged into me and they say sorry and i forget it the next second.
So if you are saying that the PO was right to stare at me 1 kind, and talk angrily when i had appologised, then ok i say it is my fault. So i would probably think that POs must do that every time you bang into them. If it was my fault, wouldn't his partner had said anything? Scolded me or something as well? He was looking at the PO talking to me and seemed shocked.
Then I come here and complain....bullying boy on sidewalk?Originally posted by corebooster:den VK...at that point of time
ill be playing the following role
At that point my friend held me and said 'F uck it la,let's go'.
