  well, units like CID dun have direct entry , you should be a regular in division for at least 5 yrs and need good performance...even than, it will depend on your menpower department to let you transfer.

  hmm ya.. mus be a PO first.. den hor after u finish ur ns.. den go 6 months training at TRACOM.. after tat they will post u dependin on ur apitudes lo.. they might post u to a npc.. or a special unit..

  You dont have to be with CID to do plain clothe.
  
  Divisions has plain clothe officers too handling various aspect of work that is similar to what CID does.

  it'll be sometime until u reach that level.
