How long you normally wait?

Hi,
I have applied online for Junior Police Office. How long you normally wait to get a response? In the event, that you're rejected, will they still keep you informed? Using what method will they inform you? Mail, handphone or email?

i have friends joining others like prisons, have to wait at least 3 months b4 they call them up

after the initial assessment, then they will send u a letter inviting you for a panel interview, about 1-2 weeks later. after the interview, if you're successful, you'll get a letter arranging for ur medcal checkup within days.
about 3 weeks later, the results of your medical checkup will be sent to you, and if you're successful the details of the bond-signing session will be sent to you. -
