Next batch of VSC?

Last night VSC briefing.
Called 80 persons to come down.
Expecting 40 to turn up.
Only 3 showed up.
Most of us has to "ta pau" back all those excess reception foods.
In the end, the SA has to ta pau and bring those foods to the downstairs folks for their supper. -
The thing is I am not one of the 80 that was called up. Guess my application has been rejected bah, thanks for your info.

They called me this afternoon! Yay!
They ask me to go to level 8, police cantonment near outram park on monday for a briefing.
It is not the TRACOM in cck though, am i different from the people who got called up on the 12th? Will visit and see what happens though.

all the interviews and/or briefings are done at PCC, not at HTA(@CCK). You are no different...Training will be at HTA@CCK.

Went for the briefing... no food there though, haha... Was the only one wearing a white T-shirt, kind of casual compared to the others.
But was kind of weird out when the asst. superintendent said the course will be 9 months. And the batch starts training by end of november. So if everything goes well, I would be able to provide service as a VSC in end of august next year...
Was expecting it to be 6 months, as stated in the pamplets... So now the road to volunteering my service will take about 14 months, after I submit my application forms.
The road to becoming a VSC is very tedious, it is actually discouraging me from joining... But I will preservere. I hope there will be no further unpleasant surprises to discourage me... -
Let us know when you are starting course will you.
I might just want to go in for additional training since my current schedule do clash with my re-training schedule. -
The training is 9 months since Jun2004... there will be lot of surprises....If you don't have the time, better don't join, although 16hrs is a minimum for a month, but if you really only perform 16hrs-24hrs, you won't learn much.... When you have to struggle, it means the division isnt providing you a meaningful enough experience for you to want to enjoy serving your hours. -
ya, it depends. For the last 2 years, although I was working, but I had an average 120hrs / mth without fail. But now due to work committment, own rice bowl comes first, down to 60+... Some do not take it as enjoyment..., that's y some still struggle for 16hrs...or even under hours...Originally posted by viciouskitty74:It depends.....

Ok, so i have gone through the interview,all that's left will be the medical board on friday and than it will be orientation at CCK on the 25th November, if I remember correctly.
So the sequence will be:
Briefing ==> Physical checks + Psychometric test ==> Interview ==> Medical Board
It's been a long journey, will keep up the spirit!
