Aikido is a better form of self defence, because it works well in small spaces for unarmed combat and its a non competitive martial arts.
Because it can dislocated a opponent at his joints instead of breaking his bones.
And it has elements of judo, taiji movement in it so it can be versatile at various situations and environment.
Also, its use of pressure points means you can even subdue a attacker w/o the need of force or considerations about the opponents size & weight.
