Forget about TKD, TKD nowadays is sport TKD which is freaking useless unless you find this club that doesn't emphasize on Sport TKD and teaches other MA...(lala dun tell u, to prevent political issue ^^).
Sanda is pretty good, consist of a lot of fighting and slaming and choking etc.
Close combat Wing Chun ba..
Very offensive is Muay Thai...but prepare to be limbed for the 2nd half or ur life if you take it seriously...
Brazillian Ju-jitsu not bad..but duno where to learn nia...
I'll recommend Sanda or Kyokushin (Er...smthing lyk that..forgot the name) Karate -

They switched to Aikido in the recent years.
Aikido is a better form of self defence, because it works well in small spaces for unarmed combat and its a non competitive martial arts.
Because it can dislocated a opponent at his joints instead of breaking his bones.
And it has elements of judo, taiji movement in it so it can be versatile at various situations and environment.
Also, its use of pressure points means you can even subdue a attacker w/o the need of force or considerations about the opponents size & weight. -

anyway.. does archery help in police job? police and archery both involves shooting too.. and also aiming..

I think you might be better off learning how to throw darts.
Helps aiming too.
And even better, cos when you runs after some hooligans. Can throw shoes, handphones, walkie talkies, handuffs, torchlights, pens & log sheets at them.

And... the psychometric test is also a crap.. how can that predict if one suits to be a police officer? me personally thinks that the test is 70% unrelated.. I havent even get a chance to get interviewed and they eliminated me..! Crap! I really think that i can! and can make a good police officer.. Dont kua suay girl like me! -

when everything is all thrown, you can throw your peak cap/round hat too, and when it still doesn't work, take off your belt and throw it too!

lol... you guys are so fun and LAME... just asking about archery.. cause my school got.. so suddenly think it might be abit related.. its ok.. i will join aikido and maybe netball or bowling for interest.. i had joined netball for 4 or 5 years...
