But it's quite ironic really, the learn almost the same things as those regular senior officers, but they don't really get to apply what they've learnt. I believe it would be better for OCTs who have passed out to be posted to specialist units like SOC, etc. They learn more that way.
If they get posted out to land divs... let's just say that those SCs who become NPCOs will actually learn/see more things.
But I agree: OCT in SPF is prolly the most sought-after vocation amongst people, provided they know that it exists lah.
