Colour of beret

hi all, i have an qn to ask . yesterdae, when i passed thru' the woodlands checkpoint , i saw this policeman wearing a khaki beret with the SPF's crest. can someone enlighten me as to which unit wears the khaki beret? My guess is tt guy is from KINS and btw when did the change of the colour of the beret happened?

I wanted to ask the same question....

actually those are gurkhas... but am quite surprised.. they are using khaki's beret now.... cos its my first time seeing them with it... is it new?

Khaki Beret : Gurkha Contigent

Red/Blue Beret : SOC, KINS

Jockey Caps/ Blue Beret : PCG

Just a question that I have always wanted to ask but since you have a Gurkhali friend...are these Ghurkas SIngapore PR or Citizens because their children are Singapore Citizens.

Gurkhas wear the khaki beret because their traditional head-dress is also khaki in colour. when they are not on duty they would be wearing the khaki beret or have it off.
