its never all stealth, mystery and glam.
Sometimes need to muck thru shitzz to get job done. Much like a nursing assitant cleaning bedpans.
Then there is classes to attend, seminars, training, re training and so on....And most officers, if they leave the CNB. Have a hard time adjusting to civilian lifestyle or they dont have the required skills that can get them a job.
So if you plan to join, make sure you have at least a basic degree/diploma qualifications as a back up. -
I like the investigation part and maybe be an undercover... Working for intelligence, but the jobscope isn't very clear for the CNB recruitment site only give a v general description...

In fact, i prefer CNB's jobscope to SPF's...
CNB = Drugs
SPF = Robbery, Rioting but also includes the 'stupid' cases like neighbour disputes, Ah Long writings and also pple looking to make your life difficult by refusing to give IC when checked.
Before you sign on the dotted line, ask yourself, do you really want to spend your whole life dealing with drug addicts ? -

Be careful if you go to Colombia or Italy ,probably you are killed there , is not a joke. big fish hate anti-narcotics members. -
To my knowledge , spf dont directly recruit one into ssb, u have to have ground exprience of at least 2 yrs or more and preferably have Investigation officer background from division...

Basic ground knowledge is a must.. you need the neccessary qualities also.. not you want then sure can go in..

hey,anyone from CNB? does CNB officers have police powers? to arrest robbers,gangster,molesters? or they only can detain the suspect and wait for the police to arrive? hope someone can enlighten me..cause my my friend from police force says CNB officers does not have the power to arrest such ppl..
