SPF Ammo SOP

  Hi guys, require some help on how the SPF distributes blank ammo for NDP GOH contingents performing the Feu De Jour.Why I'm asking this, as I am one of the CLTs incharged of the ammo distribution and collection for the NCC Contingent as part of the opening ceremony for SYF at National Stadium. This year's parade is conducted by the NPCC and today during reherasal at Home Team Academy,the SPF attached officer to NPCC, drew the rounds and magazines for the Feu De Jour, and there are alot of spare rounds still in theie cardboard box and sealed, but he left with no one to look after them.Near-by there are like 10-12 M16s and a full crate of magazines. I was totally shocked by the way this SPF officer handled live munitions and weapons. Some unauthorised personnel may just grab a weapon, a few boxes of ammo and magazines and walk off, and the next thing we know, we have bank robberies and so on going on.
  
  May I know what is the proper SOP for the SPF in terms of management of an Ammo Point so that we can provide feedback to the NPCC side.

  But from your experience, is this the SOP for SPF to manage their ammo?

  you mean no1 look after? absoluetly no 1 even CLTs?

  Nobody at all...and no CLT look after coz its NPCC ammo. Not that we are stingy or calculative. But when we left the FUP, there's an SPF officer sitting on the ammo crate, when we returned to the FUP after the parade rehersal he's gone. But the rifles, mags and ammo was there in plainsight!!!

  Having been personally involved in several parades of this magnitude in the past where NPCC was the main organiser, I would just like to state that there are specific SOPs pertaining to the handling of firearms and pyrotechnics in place. As is probably the case for all other youth organisations, safety has always taken top priority, and this parade is no different.
