Starting as NS Police

Some questions...if anyone can help...
I got an academic deferment to postpone my NS until after completing my university. I am getting ready to graduate from university here in the States in May and have orders for direct posting to the Home Team Academy (new Police Academy I guess) on 11 July 2006.
Took the IPPFT in December and got Silver (I suck at sit and reach
. Max everything else...
What to expect at Home Team Academy? How long? What kind of training?
After Academy, then what? Live at home or stay at camp? What type of options for NS police? Station police? Patrol? Any chance for some high-speed stuff? SOC? STAR?

wow... a degree holder in ns. hmm...im not from police but i suppose if ur health and fitness is good...and you do good in bmt...think u got a shot in becoming a inspector... cool..

most probably will go through basic then NSPI training after which posted out to do staff work @ HQs.

Does those ns police job 8 to 5 like those regular policemen, or there are like national service men? Stay in?
Hear from my friend that just posted there, they are not getting the normal NS pay.. if not wrong about $900++ like that. -
OCT is Officer Cadet Trainee which means u become an NSPI. Alpha Coy is the tallest residential building in HTA, which has aircon bunks. I was in Delta Coy for the past six nights.. Just booked out yesterdayOriginally posted by hisoka:if i not wrong police are all officers.

If I don't get OCT, then I get what SC right? And if so...the become a police corporal? Get to be at a station?
I'd much rather do station than do paperwork at HQ -
better SC than VC.
it's not that I want to look down on the VC..but they have little kiddies in the VC which I almost mistook for NPCC cadets if not for their gold buttons and beret crest. -

if i'm not wrong Bravo Coy only Level 1 has male trainees. upper floors is all female.

lvl 1 is the FI bunk...
I think the 4th storey are the bunk where the female trainees stay
