Joining SPF (PCG)

I have started a topic last time, but there is hardly any response so i started a new one. I am 25 this year and just about to graduate with a diploma in biotechnology. My results aren't fantastic by the way. I am planning to take up a part-time degree while working. I have already completed my NS in SAF and my vocation is tank commander with a rank of 3SG. I have a series of questions hope that people especially current PCG personnel can help me with them. I will appreciate any advice as well. Thanks!
1. What are my chances of going to PCG directly without 1st being posted to other divisions?
2. Can i sign up for a scholarship or anything to help with my part-time degree fees?( my part time studies are not related to SPF )
3. I have heard that there is an opening for PCG now, is this true?
4. Will they allow me to go for my part-time degree lessons by making special arragements? Have this happen before? -
1stly you really wan to become a police officer or you think that by going into PCG u got time to study on the boat and u get pay somemore can earn gd money? If yes. Pls drop your idea. I dont think there is any direct PCG intake, you can choose where u wan to go, but the final decision is not up to you. -
1. PCG needs people now. There is direct opening to PCG. 2. You will not be able to sign up for SPF scholarships to sponser your part-time degree. There are SPF sponsered degree and diploma courses, but you can to fufill certain criteria, eg. yrs in svc, performances etc to be selected.

4. Depending on your leader/supervisor, you may be allowed to leave early to attend classes. However, be warned, if you are posted to PCG patrol unit, don't think there is chance for you to leave early. can you imagine the boat making a trip to shore just to let you get down? Unless you want to swim back to shore yourself

Seriously i don't see whats the problem with trying to upgrade one self for further promotions in the future? -

dont think studying in uni can help improve yr performance in e police force,more like yr biotech diploma oso pai swee nia...u will be doing totally doing a different thing in e police force.....

seriously if u really have the passion to become a police officer then its really gd. But if u r joing the police because of GD PAY and join PCG u can study on the boat then its a NO NO. Got degree can convert to SOs. Not 100% though.

Hello seniors! i wish to know more about the working hours for PCG. Any other info about the PCG will also be very much appreciated because there is little or no info online. Pls help!!!

wkin hr depend on where u bein posted... usually is between 14 - 15 hrs... need to tak equipments n arms for patrol... need to load all ur weapons... u tink sukia sukia brin weapons up the boat for fun... al the weapons r fully loaded... if need arises... shoot... bt veri veri seldom... somemore inspection... briefin... topup petrol... wash boat... other team relieve u late... u kana hold back... somemore u tink u can sukia sukia read on boat... a bro... u heard of seasick or nt... some officer patrollin on the sea for 8 mths vomit 8 mths... can u tahan... do u hav enough to vomit for the 14 - 15 hrs??? if u no hav den u standby to vomit blood or spxxm... hehehe
