Come on man, you guys get insulted by vulgarities? So u want the FI's to speak to u in proper oxford english when u guys dont do something right? Even when having casual chats with the instructors, vulgarities are sometimes utilized. Who here dares to say he's never used vulgarities before? So as long as the FI's scoldings do not have any negative claims of ur family members or something very sensitive it shd be fine. I'm sure u all use vulgarities in ur secondary and tetiary institutions. So whats the buzz?
There are several key areas to look at.
1.) FIs are to be trainees' role models.
2.) FIs themselves are police officers.
3.) SPF's strive towards Service Excellence.
How can it be said that as long as it is not something very sensitive, it's fine?? As i said before, PA is a training school, extra care must be taken so as to cultivate a good service culture among new SPF officers. FIs can and should be firm and strict to their trainees, however, there is really no need to use vulgarities. Police Officers should be like a 'sponge', able to absorb pressure and keep a cool head. That is what instructors should do. Shooting out vulgarities when fustrated simply reflects badly upon the instructors. After all, its not that difficult not to use vulgarities isn't it?
