carrying a sledgehammer !

  I read an article on the net saying sledgehammer training is very beneficial. In a nut shell, it involves taking a sledgehammer and hitting it non-stop on a tire.
  
  I stay in a HDB and do not have any backyard or gardern so I decided to do it at my nearby park. I train at a secluded part of the park. The sledgehammer is 8lbs and people might be intimidated.
  
  Is it illegal to do so, can they arrest me for possesion of weapons?

  You can be charged with possession of offensive weapon.
