VSC Recruitment

I tried to join VSC last year and went to Police Cantonment Complex for an interview, but was unsuccessful.
I have no criminal record, but I have a bad record in NS, conduct was only satisfactory.
Think it was rejected cos of that. -

You want to try to apply again?
They now have psychometric testing so it will depend more on that now then just plain interview and medical examination. -
Think you have to retry the application if you are really keen.

Its volunteer work.... maybe the remuneration we could talk about would be self fulfillment.... -
What remunerations do you expect??? It is hourly paid and you have to clock at least certain hours per month. However, VSC only have their "so called" authority at night when they are on duty. One of my colleauges once on duty with a few VSC complains that they do not know how to perform their duties and only know how to act "on" only. I believe that you should not put all of them down just because of a few. Personal experience. Went out on plain clothe duties with some sergeants and inspector. In the end, the lower rank younger VSC has to take over and conduct certain exercises which the POs didnt know how to handle. -
From what you described, you have not worked with them before. So let's try to compromise. There are surely some blur chaps in the Force, regardless whether regular, PNS, VSC or VC. -

no offence too... just remember when one person point finger at another, four fingers are pointing back to himself.... nice to see that there are some officers that are not passion towards the force be it NSF, PNSF, regulars or even VSCs....
it will only take times for these officer to be outta force.... they usually wont stay long... if you really thing there are such officers around... why not try to voice it out to your supervisor or thru "Proper channel" ?
