collar pins?

  how are the collar pins affixed to the collars? been wondering about this for quite some time.

  im certain they are not pins...because pins do not fix the badges onto the collar as securely as what they are using..

  Two metal thingy pushed through the cloth and secured by a horizontal metal thingy on the opposite side loh.
  
  Dont knoe what I am talking about? Next time walk up to a policeman, grap him by the collar and inspect loh.
