never show ur warrantcard, its a mistake...always...cos u end up having to write alot.....its better to pretend u never see....Originally posted by Deunamist:don't all officers carry the same warrant card regardless of specialist unit/department?
but wouldn't this be like not an act of a police officer?Originally posted by chunyong:never show ur warrantcard, its a mistake...always...cos u end up having to write alot.....its better to pretend u never see....
Yes, all policemen have the same powers to search and arrest.Originally posted by eilton:I know that there's diff dept in SPF, like TP, Police, CNB, Coast Guard etc...
As you all know, TP has authority in the roads and traffic and vehicles etc, but i was wondering, do they have authority and right on the streets? Let's say they see someone acting suspiciously, do they have the right to pull out their TP pass and show them and request a check on their i/c?
And how about Coast Guard? I know they have the authority on the seas and ships, but do they have authority on the road in general? That is, if they were to be off-duty and leave the seas, do they have the same authority as normal police officers on the streets since they left the seas?
And how about Police? Do they have the authority in Singapore in general? That means in everything, road, sea and land etc...?
depends on wat it is....next time if u are a PO u will know the reason for not wanting to get involved....Originally posted by kentheman:but wouldn't this be like not an act of a police officer?
even if there's a crime going on n u r not on duty but u r there to witness the crime, the least u shld do is to stop it
