Entering SPF for NS - need advice

From what I last heard, OCS has reduced the training syllabus too? I think they serve 4 weeks less as compared to their seniors. No more compulsory JCC for the infantry cadets. Hey... normally if a person has a O'level cert with all 8 subjects B3 and above and later went to Melbourne for college studies will be in the SC right? But when i receive my letter... it wrote that my starting rank is VC and my pay is $350... can this be possible and should i ask them whether i can be upgraded to SC? may i know the difference between SC and VC too??? thanks

VCs are those in white uniformed shirts and dark blue pants and blue beret whilst SCs are just like any regular policeman. VCs do not carry firearms with them whilst on patrol, neither are they trained in their use. The training course for VCs is only 12 weeks, as compared to the 18 weeks for SCs.
