Why can't police officers go to work in their uniform?
Why must they go in mufty and then change into uniform at the station?
Why so shy......or want to evade 'problems' of being in uniform in public?
Look at CISCO guards...... they wear their uniforms with pride, even from home to work........not shy..... -
my guess if wearin the uniform means there are restrictions sort of like the army number4 except theirs is probably more enforced and also if somethign goes wrong pple will find them(for small thigns like lose wallet etc) which i guess is not wanted. and lastly they are off job le so if they refuse to help the give police bad repOriginally posted by Dr Who:Why can't police officers go to work in their uniform?

jus askin is there any restriction when they wear police uniform in regard to accessories? That time i saw a police man, wearing those popular wristbands.... on duty in police u.

The Policeman in his uniform must be respected or even feared. Once the public despise the uniform, social-moral discipline is gone.
The Policeman thus must know his role and don't be a Cartoon. -
npcc oso the same .. last time i in np oso wear mufty back n to .. my officier say student police cadets have to do so is becos they don wan the public to be misled tat we r the real police .. n to complicate matters .. cos things we do might affect the real police image or wat .. but hw come real police oso cannot ar .. lol ..

In terms of practicality, POs spent much time in the sun, so sunglasses does provide them protection against the sun, while in terms of fashion sense, wearing sunglasses makes them look damn cool... kinda like American police...

like one of the poster had said.. what if something happens...and then there are so many anti-police people around... if can carry arms home, dont mind wearing uniform back too what...

Just for your info, Police officers are actually allowed to wear their uniforms to and from work. However, internal guidelines may advise against this practise, specifically or otherwise. I have seen instances of officers going to and from work in full uniform, but that is only because they are going by car.
As for CISCO guards...no. They dont wear their uniforms to and from work. When did you see that? -

hmmm...how fast you want them to come.. siao.. there is something call traffic.. like if you call at 5pm... traffic jam... from one end to another end is no joke....it depends on what you call.. if someone beats you... for what come fast... already beaten what...

I just tot of something. If the next person calls for instant arrival of a cop when they need it, I am going to insist that he/she join the VSC. Why? Coz that means it will indeed by "instant arrival" everytime he/she thinks a cop is needed.

Aiyah in any forum whereby matas are involved, it is alway expected to be flooded with individuals demanding that matas zap around island. And then they insist that the pay taxes, and hence they should expect such service. So folks like us...regulars or otherwise, usually just give them the standard answers loh.....mods....do we need them?
