Whats the penalties for wearing more then those badges on their uniforms?Originally posted by romancetan:They're entitled to only wear the SAF Parachute Wing badge if they have successfully completed a Parachute Course at the SAF Parachute School. Submission of documentary proof is required.
During my good old days, there is no mention about wearing those badges. Nobody seems to be bothered to mention about them. In my batch, we have a number of SAF officers who joined as regular JOs. We have the impression that we are not supposed to wear our airborne, taekwondo black belt and thai wing (overseas). Well. Some of us are instructors during the moring TKD sessions...Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Whats the penalties for wearing more then those badges on their uniforms?
Can you link me to the standard instructions?
I don't remember that I am given any document about my airborne wing. As for TKD, we have been given the cert for black belt from Federation and the instructor cert. Well, need to dig for these document if I want to start wearing badges.Originally posted by romancetan:They're entitled to only wear the SAF Parachute Wing badge if they have successfully completed a Parachute Course at the SAF Parachute School. I have yet to see any SOP on badges on SPF uniform.

I see other officers wearing more then a pair of wings. And they are not related to the SPF.

Originally posted by romancetan:Can we award badges to folks who like to 'fly aeroplane'. Can I can I!
U mean they're "pilot" ah?
Or do love to "fly aeroplane"?
ThanksOriginally posted by romancetan:Yes, there's a cert. given to all participants who passed any courses conducted by SAF.
As for TKD, there's also Cert. issued and should one qualified for 1st dan onwards, their names will be gazatted. Do approach TKD Federation and request a letter of certification.
Without seeking clearance for wearing "unknown badges" is a disciplinary offence.
Do approach your Head S&T for details and he should be able to advise u with regards to your queries.

Yes, my friend.Originally posted by ngokyc:Can VSC officer wears the SAF colours on police uniform? I meant the 5 year service and long year service medals.

However, the order of precedence must be correctly displayed.
He is not wrong. You are allowed to wear SAF colours on SPF uniform. Whatever medals/colours you obtained from SAF, u can wear on SPF uniform.Originally posted by qazplm:since when.... its different colours comparing both SPF and SAF....
Mr Tan... hope you get the facts right(unless i am wrong), before the whole world of VSCs start to put on badges that was awarded to them since their SAF days on a SPF uniform....
i think this is a common sense question? pls correct me if i am wrong...
i am indeed very surprise to receive such a reply from you.....Originally posted by chowwaikein:He is not wrong. You are allowed to wear SAF colours on SPF uniform. Whatever medals/colours you obtained from SAF, u can wear on SPF uniform.
However, that does not includes marksman, IPPT, TKD, Guardsman, Rangers badge as that is not medals/colours.
The only exception is Airborne badges, which includes Rigger badge.
It is not common to have too many SAF officers (ex or present) to be in VSC. As for NSmen who are in VSC, do not think they have that many medals/colours.
